...................................................................................

The General store embodies so many different things
as you will see while this blog is slowly pieced together.

At the heart
Is Food.
Is how we eat, what we eat, why we eat what we eat.

Two of us come from chef/cooking backgrounds,
from Hospitality, a word we know so well in
Melbourne with all of its eating establishments yet
for us it is a way of being.
We want to share the value food and how it gets to the plate.

We have worked on organic farms,
in many different kitchens around the world,
and always fed whoever entered our home,
thus the store is an extension...

And there are many more than two of us that keep the store
and all it stands for going....
