Kin Kin

As she was paying for her purchases the Russian woman
picked up a packet of Kin Kin tea sitting on the counter.

" Have you been to Kin Kin,
where they make the tea?" She asked, her shy mouth opening,
her downward turned eyes now directly on me.

" Oh, I've been to Kin Kin, but not to the plantation" I answer
handing her the change.

" I have been like, what you call it...working on the organics?!" she
shyly smiles.

" W.W.O.O.F.ing?" I help her finish her sentence.

" Yes that is it. You have been?"

" Yes I have been WWOOFing ( Willing Workers On Organic Farms) but not in Australia."
I tell her.

" I would love to live
like this, like them, but for me its not enough comforts, they
live very simply, not with alot of
comforts! For me from a city I am confronted.
..but it is so beautiful," She says shaking the packet of tea,

"..and they are so calm in the mind!"
Her hands go up to her head and make a sweeping gesture, as if cleaning away her own worries,
" and I was surprised,
so well educated, the people on the farm!
Any way thank you for your shop, I am going this way."

Her shy mouth closes and her eyes face downward again
as the Russian WWOOFer heads out the door.
