Madmen Monday

This fantastic and impromptu meal
was cooked by the lovely
Kate and Hunter, while
I played on the floor with a crawling baby Willem.

Pilaf cooked 'properly from scratch',
Ling, a fish from the not so endangered list
of sustainable fish eating,
and steamed crisp organic broccoli.

K and H rent in a big house that is something from the set of MADMEN.
They live with out a telly but with a flourishing veggie garden,
S, an exchange student from China,
L, a cat up the chimney who wont come down,
and a visiting V,
while she awaits for her new residence to be built.

K, H, S, V and I all sat around the table and ate,
then Vic, Kate and I after our most delicious dinner,
lay on the couches pushed together like a big boat
and watched Mad Men on the laptop.

We scoffed on organic honey murcott mandarines,
organic dark choc ginger and gluten free biscuits
Not at all mad men but completely ga ga women over
season 4 - now thats what I call a 'family night in'.

Caution this Product contains traces of Peanuts

Peanut Butter
Fresh today
made with Australian Peanuts

Today we made a massive
batch of peanut butter
gone are the days of the old old machine
we used to use, it died and was beyond repair.
Now we use a champion juicer
and it works like a dream..
Peanuts go in
peanut butter
comes out

One woman asked me if she could
bring a container
and measure a tablespoon of peanut butter into it
cause she does not trust herself to buy and not eat a whole tub...!!!!!!
